This is really the website and tool which made my weight loss possible. It allows me to add foods rather than calories, the database is sometimes a little bit out but measuring exact calories is hardly an exact science.
The site is completely free to use and even has a free mobile app which allows you to track on the go and even scan bar codes in the kitchen.
It is also sensible, if you don’t need to lose weight, it will not encourage you to. In fact it can be used to maintain or gain weight in the same way.
There are others and I’m afraid I didn’t shop around, once I found MFP, I didn’t think I needed to 😉
